The Hydrogen Task Force is a high level bi-lateral collaboration between the Indian Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and the US Department of Energy (DOE), in coordination with the U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) that brings together industry and academia, with the goal of integrating the private sector inputs to bring in latest technology, and adopt business models towards development and deployment of hydrogen technologies.

The HTF aims to serve as a forum for thought leaders to achieve affordable hydrogen solutions, with the vision to enhance energy security and resilience by scaling up low/zero carbon hydrogen technologies and deployment.
The Working Group would be co-led by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (GOI) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Membership would also include stakeholders from industry in India and the United States and be organized into sub-committees tasked with developing technology and/or policy recommendations for each area of focus. The U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum would provide secretariat support related to communication and convening meetings.
